One of our favorite albums of this year came out in February when Unknown Mortal Orchestra released their hotly-anticipated second full-length. II is a near-masterpiece from the young band, ably meshing soul and rock influences into tightly-constructed songs that at once feel brand new and familiar. Still, you have to see them live to fully appreciate why the band is so good. If you missed their free summer show, don’t worry: they’re back in town for a night at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn. You’ll have to pay for this one, but it’ll be worth it. Trust us.
