Brooklyn duo Slim Wray eschew the borough’s too-cool-for-school reputation in favor of a fuzzed-out take on blues, garage rock, and good old-fashioned rock ‘n’ roll. Their take on the genre is refreshing, recalling The Black Keys but with a hunger and desire that all of the best young bands thrive on. That hunger is what makes their debut, Sack Lunch, such a delightful piece of music. At this rate, Slim Wray look poised to shake things up in Brooklyn’s music scene, which could only be a very good thing.
The album comes out on November 12th, but we here at Elmore are going to give you a first listen to the album here! Just click on the widget below and enjoy!
