It was recently announced that we would be treated to a new album from Johnny Cash that had previously been shelved for over 20 years. Now, the newest trailer for Out Among The Stars features the first chance for listeners to hear some of Cash’s new album.
The trailer contains Cash’s version of “You Used To Love Me A Lot,” which Cash eventually handed to David Allan Coe in 1984. Coe’s version ended up becoming a Top 20 hit for Coe, but Cash obviously adds his own unique spin to the song on this version. The trailer also contains an interview from the Man In Black’s son, John Carter Cash, in which he discusses how he came across the Billy Sherrill-produced recordings.
You can check out the trailer for Out Among The Stars below. The album comes out on March 25th on Legacy Recordings.
