Country legend Ray Price is in the final stages of his battle with pancreatic cancer. This was confirmed from Price’s family after reports surfaced this weekend that said that Price had died.
Price, the mind behind such hits as “Crazy Arms” and “You’re The Best Thing That’s Ever Happened To Me,” was diagnosed with cancer in November of 2012. This month, Price’s son announced that the singer was entering hospice care after several surgeries and treatments had failed.
The fake reports of Price’s death even had his son Cliff fooled. After hearing the news, Cliff posted a remembrance of his father on his Facebook page, which then became the source for various news outlets that reported Price’s passing. Cliff later corrected his post after the hoax was revealed, saying that he had been “deceived by some cruel people.”
