Two things come to mind when you hear the name “Billy Gibbons”: that unmistakable beard and an equally unmistakable guitar sound. Since age 14, Gibbons has been playing scintillating guitar riffs and honing a sound that mixes blues, hard rock, and garage rock into something new, loud, raucous, and brilliant. On December 17th, Gibbons will take a break from his gigs in ZZ Top and the recently-reunited Moving Sidewalks for a solo performance at the legendary B.B. King’s club. With a crack band that features Late Show With David Letterman musicians Will Lee and Anton Fig, Gibbons is sure to serve up a helping of no-frills rock ‘n roll, just the way it was meant to be heard.
