Before Nirvana made us smell teen spirit, there was Dinosaur Jr. to pummel listeners with loud, gloriously distorted guitars. The alt-rock power trio have made some of the best records you haven’t heard yet (check out You’re Living All Over Me if you haven’t heard the band before), and they’ve only gotten more powerful since reuniting in 2005. They’re currently out on our with the considerably softer MGMT, and their tour brings them to the cavernous confines of Brooklyn’s Barclay’s Center. Many lesser bands have been swallowed up by stadium sound before, but if we trust anyone to keep things loud and awesome, it’s Dinosaur Jr.
