There’s very little to say about Patti Smith that hasn’t been said by thousands of other people already. Put simply, Smith is a legend and one of the few truly unique artists living today. Her debut album, Horses, is rightfully considered a classic, and she’s only put out one great album after another since then. As great as her albums are, though, Smith’s real power comes forth in her live performances. We can’t think of a better way to close out 2013 than to see a living legend like Smith in person, especially in the small confines of Webster Hall. You’d be a fool to miss this one.
