Boston gets its own festival for the second year in a row as Boston Calling returns to Beantown after a successful 2013 run. It was going to be hard to top last year’s lineup, but Boston Calling’s organizers may have done just that for 2014: topping this year’s bill are indie rock superstars Death Cab For Cutie, Modest Mouse, and Jack Johnson.
Of course, festivals aren’t just about the headliners, and Boston Calling has plenty to offer for those looking for a new discovery. The stacked bill includes the likes of Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Jenny Lewis, Tegan & Sara, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls, Built To Spill, Phosphorescent, Kurt Vile, and Cass McCombs. A fourth headliner has also yet to be announced, so keep an ear out for another big name for the fest.
Boston Calling takes place on May 23rd through 25th at City Hall Plaza in Boston. For more info on the lineup and to purchase tickets, visit the Boston Calling website.
