Country star Trace Adkins has entered a rehab facility following an incident on the Country Cruising cruise, the Associated Press reports. Adkins made the decision to enter rehab after an alcohol-fueled incident on the cruise.
Reports allege that Adkins became belligerent at a bar on the Norwegian Cruise ship as an unnamed passenger began imitating him on karaoke. Adkins allegedly began attacking the patron, according to reports on TMZ.
Adkins was performing on the cruise with Montgomery Gentry and Wynonna Judd, but the singer departed in Jamaica after the incident. All of Adkins’ tour dates have been postponed, and the Country Cruising cruise will continue to its intended stops in the Cayman Islands and Mexico without Adkins.
Adkins had been sober for 12 years before the incident, having last entered rehab in 2002.
