We’ve lost count of how many bands have attempted to revive that loud, sort-of abrasive grunge sound that ruled the airwaves in the 90’s, but Cloud Nothings may be one of the only bands who have figured it out. Their excellent 2012 album Attack On Memory struck the perfect balance between paying tribute and finding new musical ground to explore, and earworms like “Stay Useless” made the album impossible to forget about. The band are preparing to release a new album this year, and we couldn’t be more excited. Expect to hear some new songs when they head to new Brooklyn hot spot Baby’s All Right. It won’t be 1994 all over again, but you’re still likely to have a good time.
