There’s more to Scott Miller than you think. The Virginia native’s songs are rooted in his upbringing, but they’re also informed by his background as a student of Russian and Soviet Studies at William & Mary University. The end result is a catalog of songs (both on his own and with his old band the V-Roys) that led Steve Earle to declare him a “world class” songwriter. If there’s any higher praise, we haven’t heard it. His latest album, Big Big World, is the most ambitious yet from the prolific singer-songwriter, and we couldn’t be more excited to see where he goes next. When he comes to Hill Country’s stage, you’re not going to hear anything like it.
