The first single from Rodrigo y Gabriela’s upcoming album dropped today. “The Soundmaker” is a tribute to the famous Spanish guitar maker Antonio Torres Jurado, who is credited with inventing the modern classical guitar. As previously reported, The album, 9 Dead Alive, will be released April 29. The duo is then hitting the road for a tour, starting May 1 and 2 at New York’s Beacon Theater before heading to L.A. More tour dates will be announced soon.
But that’s not all for these two; a documentary about them, For Those About to Rock: The Story of Rodrigo y Gabriela will premiere at the South By Southwest film festival in March.
