Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter Sharon Van Etten will release her fourth album, Are We There, May 27. The album, Van Etten’s newest since 2012’s Tramp, was produced with Stewart Lerman, who has worked with Elvis Costello, David Byrne, Sufjan Stevens and the soundtrack for Boardwalk Empire, where the two met. Are We There will be released on Jagjaguwar Records.
After a series of warmup shows in the Northeast, starting May 8 in Northampton, MA, Van Etten will launch a nationwide tour in June, starting with three shows in New York City June 11, 12 and 13. The cross-country tour will end at Chicago’s Pitchfork Music Festival July 18. A full list of tour dates and is available on Van Etten’s website.
