Charlie & The Foxtrots are one of the hottest things coming out of Nashville right now. The seven-piece bluegrass group is one of many bands championing that old Americana sound that have turned the likes of Mumford & Sons and The Lumineers into superstars, but the Foxtrots come from a far rootsier background, relying more on musicianship than theatricality. Nowhere is that more true then on their song “The Big Bad Wolf,” a Southern-fried slow burner that showcases Chas Wilson’s indomitable pipes. This, my friends, is how you do Americana right.
Check out the song below, and be sure to check out Charlie & The Foxtrot’s upcoming album Golden on July 8th.
