Looks like the previously leaked Lollapalooza lineup we reported on was right on the money. The headliners for the 2014 festival will, indeed, be Eminem, Outkast and Kings of Leon. Arctic Monkeys, Skrillex and Calvin Harris round out the top billing for the August festival.
In keeping with the other major festivals this year, there’s a mix between rock, pop and hip-hop, with artists like Lorde, the Avett Brothers, Nas, J. Roddy Walston & the Business, Cut Copy, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue and the John Butler Trio making appearances.
The festival will be held August 1-3 in Chicago’s Grant Park. Three-day passes are now sold out, but you can grab a single day pass for $100. The full lineup can be seen at Lollapalooza’s website.
Lollapalooza was originally conceived by Jane’s Addiction singer Perry Farrell as a farewell tour in 1991, but continued annually until 1997. The festival toured in 2003, and has been in its current configuration since 2005.
