Montreal-based singer/songwriter Mac DeMarco has released a new single from his forthcoming album Salad Days, a followup to 2012’s Mac DeMarco 2. “Brother,” is a sincere, slower track than what we’re used to from DeMarco, but shows off his songwriting ability.
DeMarco also announced a 7″ subscription series, which will send subscribers a previously unreleased 7″ track from DeMarco every 6 to 8 weeks.
Salad Days will be released April 1, and was composed during DeMarco’s extensive touring schedule. DeMarco is still in his early career, having released four self-released EPs as Makeout Videotape and only one previous full length, 2.
DeMarco kicks off his tour in South America March 14, before playing the Burgerama Festival in Santa Ana, CA March 23. His tour weaves through the U.S. and Canada and continues through August. DeMarco will appear on tour with Amen Dunes, Juan Wauters and Calvin Love at select dates. Full tour dates and information is available on DeMarco’s SongKick.
