You may recognize the work of photographer George Kopp from the many photos that have graced the pages of Elmore Magazine over the years. Kopp’s live shots are a staple of nearly every issue, as his is work in our recurring “What’s In My Bag” feature. Now, Tri-State residents have a chance to see Kopp’s work up close and personal at the West Orange Public Library in West Orange, New Jersey.
Down In Front is an exhibition of Kopp’s live music photography featuring such subjects as Kris Kristofferson, Wanda Jackson, Alex Chilton, Allen Toussaint, Bo Diddley, Pete Seeger, Al Green, and many more. The West Orange Public Library will be hosting a reception for the exhibition’s opening on Monday, March 24th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. (You can RSVP for the opening on Facebook by clicking here.) After that, the exhibition will last until April 29th; admission is free.
