The Black Keys are back with a new album. Turn Blue, the band’s eighth studio effort, will see release on May 13th.
The announcement came from, of all places, Mike Tyson’s Twitter account. The retired boxer posted “Turn Blue” on his account along with a link to a bizarre video announcement for the album. Could this be an indication that the blues-rock duo are going to get a little bit weird for this next album?
Turn Blue marks the Keys’ first trip back into the studio since 2011’s mega-hit El Camino. Since then, guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney have kept busy behind the scenes: Auerbach has done production work for Dr. John and Lana Del Rey, and Carney worked at the mixing boards for Tennis and The Black Lips, among others.
