The Midnight Moan are a trip back in time in a very, very good way. The New York-based band is a thrilling throwback to the blues-rock bands of yesteryear, recalling the likes of Canned Heat and the early Rolling Stones albums. Their new single, “Just Yet,” takes this sound down a more subdued path, relying on subtle organ and strummed acoustic guitars. It’s a surprisingly affecting piece of music, one that shows a maturity beyond the band’s years. Have a listen to the song below, and be on the lookout for the Midnight Moan’s new album Comes In Phases, due out on May 20th.
