Jack White is coming back with a brand new album. Lazzaretto, the second album from the former White Stripes frontman, comes out on June 10th on Columbia Records and White’s own Third Man Records.
White has already released a song off of the album, the first thing we’ve heard from him since 2012’s Blunderbuss. “High Ball Stepper” is, interestingly, a track that doesn’t feature White’s signature vocal stylings. What it does feature is guitar, and lots of it; the song is a whirlwind of electric mayhem that bodes well for the rest of the album. You can stream the song below.
Lazzaretto will also be available in a special edition package for fans who sign up for the Third Man Records Vault series. The special edition of Lazzaretto comes with a pressing of the album on blue-and-white vinyl, a fold-out poster, a National Archives photo that is used frequently in the Lazzaretto album art, a hardcover art book, and a 7-inch featuring two demo versions of the album tracks “Alone In My Home” and “Entitlement.” Fans looking to get this version of the album have to sign up for the Vault series by April 30th.
