When Neil Young quietly released his new album A Letter Home on Record Store Day, the release was only available on vinyl. For those of you without a turntable, you won’t be left in the lurch for long; Young and Third Man Records are planning to re-release the album on May 27th as a CD and in a massive deluxe edition.
The album, which consists entirely of acoustic covers of songs by everyone from Bob Dylan to Bruce Springsteen, will be re-issued in a set that includes a CD, a digital download, 2 LPs, and a making-of documentary. The whole set will retail at around $110, but for those who don’t have that kind of money lying around, the album will also be available as a stand-along CD for $13.99.
