The Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival has been bringing the biggest names in bluegrass to the Hudson River Valley. Past performers at the festival have included the likes of Jerry Douglas, The 23 String Band, and Chris Thile. This year’s lineup might top them all with a host of familiar faces and welcome returns.
Thile will return to the Grey Fox stage as a headliner with the reunited Nickel Creek, who are headlining the fest alongside Carolina Chocolate Drops and Darrell Scott & Tim O’Brien. The Del McCoury Band will also be performing in celebration of Del’s 75th birthday. Other performers of note at Grey Fox include The Steep Canyon Rangers, Keller Williams & The Travelin’ McCourys, The Deadly Gentlemen, Jim Lauderdale, Elephant Revival, Aofie O’Donovan, The HillBenders, and The Steel Wheels, among others. More acts are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Grey Fox is also offering a leg up for aspiring bluegrass musicians. The festival is offering beginner and intermediate workshops, as well as workshops for kids and seminars on working within the music industry.
Grey Fox takes place at the Walsh Farm in Oak Hill, New York from July 17th through July 20th. For more information, a full lineup, and to purchase tickets, visit the Grey Fox website.
