Legendary folk singer Paul Simon and his wife Edie Brickell were arrested yesterday at their home in New Canaan, Connecticut, according to reports from local news outlets. Both Simon and Brickell were charged with disorderly conduct following their arrests.
Police in New Canaan made an announcement about the incident this morning, telling WVIT-TV that officers were called to the home that Simon and Brickell share at around 8:20 pm last night in response to what police are calling a “family dispute.” Enough evidence was gathered to charge both Simon and Brickell, though early reports that Simon was being charged with domestic violence were deemed false by authorities.
Representatives for both singers have yet to comment on the situation.
