Buffalo’s Sleepy Hahas are the latest purveyors of grimy, trippy blues-rock, and we couldn’t be more excited for the release of their new album Dull Days. Recorded with Black Keys producer Paul Hamann, the album features the sort of hard-driving rock one would expect from the Keys or the White Stripes, but the band’s warped lyrical tales of twisted suburbia make Sleepy Hahas stand out amongst the crowd.
Sleepy Hahas’ new song “Bolero Del Fuego” showcases everything that the band is capable of. The song starts as a guitar-and-keyboard-based bluesy stomp before launching off in both harder and softer directions. Throughout, the band’s tight, solid playing remains a constant, delightful feature. You can listen to the song exclusively through Elmore Magazine starting today; check it out below.
Dull Days comes out on May 13th.
