Unfortunately, Japan will have to wait a little while longer to see Paul McCartney. The former Beatle was forced to cancel several of his tour dates in the country after coming down with an illness.
According to a statement released on the official website for the tour, McCartney came down with a virus and was ordered to rest completely by his doctors. The illness had already resulted in McCartney having to cancel dates in Tokyo and Osaka. As of right now, McCartney’s upcoming tour of Korea and subsequent performances in the United States are still on.
“I’d like to thank my Japanese fans for their love, messages of support and understanding,” McCartney said in a statement. “I hope to see you all again soon. Love, Paul.” Refunds for McCartney’s Japanese shows will be available, but there are no official plans to reschedule the tour.
