Sometimes, talent just runs in the family. That’s certainly the case with A.J. Croce, the son of the great Jim Croce and a respected songwriter in his own right. Having started from a very young age, Croce’s career has been long and varied, and he ably jumps from genre to genre. His latest album, Twelve Tales, had him jumping from place to place, though. Croce traveled to five cities to make the album, working with such music luminaries as Cowboy Jack Clement and Allen Toussaint. Not a bad set of endorsements, if you ask us. This week, Croce takes his considerable talents to the intimate confines of the Iridium Jazz Club in New York City. It’s an intimidating stage to play on, but we think that Croce is more than capable.
