Walter Trout is one of our greatest living bluesmen, and we’re very lucky to have him with us. The acclaimed guitarist recently had a brush with death, but he is now recuperating after a successful liver transplant. Still, while Walter won’t be at the Iridium to celebrate the release of his album The Blues Came Callin‘ and the documentary of the same name, the spirit of his music will be alive and well at this benefit concert co-organized by Elmore’s own Arnie Goodman. A rotating array of special guests will join a hand-picked backing band featuring Rocky Athas, Jeff Simon, and Scott Holt. All proceeds from the show will go to help with Walter’s medical expenses.
