Fairly new to the Williamsburg music scene, Rough Trade NYC has wasted no time booking killer performers like Charles Bradley and Hollis Brown. Tonight, that streak continues with one of Elmore’s On the Radar bands, Fly Golden Eagle, a group that seems to be a common favorite among Nashville musicians and fans. After they opened for Alabama Shakes at Red Rocks, Fly Golden Eagle proved that they could rock massive crowds. How else do you get booked to perform at this year’s Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza? Fortunately tonight, though, you won’t have to share the band’s electricity with 80,000 others.
Also on the bill are Clear Plastic Masks, an explosive rock quartet whose self-titled EP appears on Kings of Leon’s Snakes and Serpents label. Mixing the grit of NYC with the heart and soul of the South, Clear Plastic Masks cement themselves in an impressive niche that is undoubtedly their own. Since moving from Brooklyn to Nashville, Clear Plastic Masks are an act New Yorkers eagerly anticipate. Watch how deep a band digs for a crowd when it returns to its home turf. Grab a ticket now.
