The disorderly conduct charges filed against Paul Simon and Edie Brickell by the state of Connecticut are set to be dropped this week. Prosecutors in the case are declining to pursue charges against the couple, who were arrested following a domestic dispute on April 26th.
Neither Simon nor Brickell were present in court for the hearing, which stemmed from an incident when the two fought in a cottage on their property in New Caanan, Connecticut. Police said that Simon and Brickell were engaged in an argument that became physical. Both singers were cooperative with the investigation and told a judge that they were willing to reconcile.
Simon and Brickell married in 1992. They have three children.
