If you’ve ever wanted to own Lou Reed’s gear, now’s your chance. Some of the late singer’s equipment is being auctioned on a special eBay page created to raise money for a Lou Reed archive.
Among the items up for bid are Reed’s Kurzweil PC2X keyboard, a Yamaha P-80 keyboard, and a Pendulum SPS-1 amp designed for acoustic instruments. All of these items are available to be bid on right now on the Lou Reed Archive eBay page, though the prices are predictably steep.
In a post on Reed’s Facebook page, his representatives stated that many of the most important pieces of equipment that Reed used–including his guitars and amps–would be kept in an archive for safekeeping. However, much more of the equipment that he and his band used would be made available for sale at later dates. For fans who live in the New York City area, some of Reed’s equipment would be available to pick up in person.
