This week, country star Sara Evans will release “Can’t Stop Loving You” as a radio single, the second from Slow Me Down, her seventh studio album, released in March. According to Evans, the new single, a ballad featuring the Fray’s Isaac Slade, “There’s so much heart put into that song and fans relate to it.”
Fans have certainly been responding to Slow Me Down, which hit Number Two on the Country Album Chart and cracked the Top Ten on the Billboard 200. Whatever continued success the new single will bring Evans, she’ll have to enjoy it from the road, where she’s been promoting Slow Me Down, which she’ll continue to do with performances throughout the summer (full schedule here). Next up is PBS’s annual Fourth of July concert broadcast, “A Capitol Fourth,” where Evans will perform with Patti LaBelle, Frankie Valli, Michael McDonald (for more on McDonald, see the new Elmore) and more.
For more on Evans as she prepares to release her next single to radio, check out Elmore’s May/Jun feature, in which Evans and others spoke about the issues facing female country artists in today’s radio/singles market.
