Austin-based indie rock band Spoon are coming back after a four-year hiatus from the studio. Their new album, titled They Want My Soul, comes out on August 10th on Loma Vista.
Band members Britt Daniel and Jim Eno recently spoke to NPR Music about the album while explaining the purpose behind their break from the band, during which Daniel co-founded Divine Fits and Eno did work as a producer. During the interview, the two also previewed a number of songs that will be on the album, including a cover of Ann-Margaret’s “I Just Don’t Understand.”
Spoon will be kicking off a massive world tour this month, starting today at the Primavera Sound Festival in Portugal. For more tour dates, you can visit Spoon’s website.
