Alexis P. Suter, the powerful baritone who has been a regular performer at Levon Helm’s Midnight Ramble in Woodstock, NY, and shared a stage with blues legends like B.B. King, returns with a new soulful album called Love the Way You Roll. This is the band’s third album with Brooklyn based label, Hipbone Records, produced by Ben Elliott for American Showplace Music. Love the Way You Roll also features psychedelic artwork by renowned artist, Mike DuBois, sure to make the record a collectible among blues rock fans.
The album captures Suter in all her raw and masterful vocal ability, seamlessly commanding through the live sounds played by the talented powerhouse band. For this album, the band features backup singers Vicki Bell and Ray Grappone, Peter Bennett on bass and Jimmy Bennett on guitar. Suter has definitely stepped up on this album, and “It Ain’t Over,” an assertively rock ‘n’ roll inspired blues track is no exception to the fact. Alexis P. Suter, who was nominated for Best Soul Blues Female Artist at the 33rd Annual Blues Music Awards, firmly declares “ It Ain’t Over til’ the fat lady sings!” You can stream “It Ain’t Over” below, exclusively through Elmore.
