Brooklyn-based indie rock band TV On The Radio have announced their return with a brand new album, Seeds. The album, their first for new label Harvest Records and their first since bassist Gerard Smith’s death in 2011, comes out this fall.
Singer Tunde Adebimpe talked about the band’s resilience in going through with the new album in a press statement. “We’ve been through a lot of stuff in the past few years that would have stopped the band cold,” Adebimpe said, “but I’m glad we got it together and took stock of the unique connection that we have with each other because the record is, 1000%, without a doubt, the best thing we’ve ever done.”
The album was recorded over the past year in band member/producer Dave Sitek’s Federal Prism studio in Los Angeles. Sitek’s Federal Prism label also released two of the band’s singles last year: “Mercy” and “Million Miles.”
