For almost a decade, Drew Holcomb has been delighting audiences with his stripped-down take on folk rock. His relaxed, low-key songs recall Tom Petty with a healthy dose of Nashville twang. After six albums, Holcomb and his band The Neighbors just seem to keep getting better and better. Their latest, Good Light, has a soft, sunny disposition that was endlessly appealing, but you can’t help but think that the band’s artistic peak is yet to come. After a long road jaunt, the band are headed back to their hometown of Nashville for a performance at Trevecca Nazarene University. We can’t think of a better reason to go back to school.
