This August, New Yorkers will get a taste of Americana when the AMA brings a host of free performances to the Big Apple. The likes of Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell, Tift Merritt, Buddy Miller, Jim Lauderdale, Rosanne Cash, Dom Flemons, and more will be playing as part of the Lincoln Center Out Of Doors series, but the party doesn’t stop when the sun goes down. Hill Country Live will be hosting after-parties featuring some of the rising stars in Americana for four straight nights. Amy Black kicks things off with her band on August 6th, followed by Boston band Girls, Guns, and Glory on August 7th. Jay Boy Adams and Zenobia keep things going on August 8th before Kevin Gordon closes everything out on August 9th. All shows are free, so try to get there before the place gets packed!
