Ian Hunter is probably best known as the frontman for glam-rock icons Mott The Hoople, but there’s much, much more to him than that. Beneath Hunter’s hard-rocking exterior is a songwriter and guitarist worthy of considerable renown. In recent years, Hunter has produced some of the best work he’s ever done on albums like Shrunken Heads and When I’m President. Live, though, Hunter’s as rambunctious as he’s ever been, and he only seems to be getting better with age. Brooklyn will soon get a lesson in timeless songwriting and musicianship when Hunter crosses the Gowanus to play a show at The Bell House.
