The Southern tradition of blues, soul, and rock ‘n’ roll is alive and well with Southern Hospitality. Featuring the talents of Damon Fowler (lap steel), J.P. Soars (guitar) and Victor Wainwright (keyboards), the roots-rock band’s mix of Muscle Shoals soul and Georgia blues-rock is a musically thrilling combination. The band’s debut, Easy Livin, won tons of acclaim from critics, including our own Jim Hynes, who said that the album “breathes new life into southern rock 40+ years on.” However, nothing can quite compare to the pleasure of seeing these guys live, something that attendees on the Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise can attest to. New York will get a taste of what the band can do when they come to the famed Iridium jazz club. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the Iridium’s website.
