Bruce Springsteen always seems to be moving forward–he certainly has the energy to do so–but now he’s taking the time to look back. This November, the Boss will be re-releasing remastered versions of his first seven albums in a brand new box set. Bruce Springsteen: The Album Collection, Vol. 1 hits stores on November 17th.
In the past few years, Springsteen has put out remastered versions of Born To Run and Darkness On The Edge Of Town, but the rest of his back catalog has remained untouched since they were originally transferred to CD in the 1980s. While many of his contemporaries have since remastered their work, Bruce has been one of the longer holdouts.
The box set will be available in both CD and vinyl editions. Pre-orders are currently being taken on Amazon.com.
Fans itching to see Bruce in concert again will have a while to wait. He will make his annual appearance at the Stand Up For Heroes benefit in New York City, but plans for another tour or album with the E Street Band are currently up in the air. His most recent album, High Hopes, came out earlier this year.
