After 13 years of relative silence, Garth Brooks is coming back. The country superstar, who became one of the most popular artists of all time during the 1990s, has announced a November 11th release date for the as-yet-untitled album, which will be released on his own Pearl Records imprint.
In anticipation for the release of the album, Brooks co-created an online music sharing service called GhostTunes for its release. Brooks, who is one of a handful of major artists who has not allowed his music to be sold on iTunes, has used GhostTunes to sell digital versions of his back catalog as well as music by Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert, and others. Brooks has already given fans a taste of what’s to come with the new single “People Loving People.” You can listen to the song below.
Brooks is currently on tour with his wife, Trisha Yearwood. The performances mark Brooks’ first tour since he retired from the road in 2001 to focus on raising his family, though he did have a successful run of shows in Las Vegas from 2009 to 2011.
