Earlier this month, the Stray Birds stood out among a crowded field at this year’s AMAs. Now, they’re continuing the march toward the release of their sophomore album, Best Medicine (out October 21), with the video for the eponymous single. Intercut with performance footage, the clip finds the Stray Birds celebrating the joy of the brick-and-mortar record store. In this case, the band found themselves inspired, while on tour, by the Re-Collector record store in Schenectady, NY. “I was impressed that Kurt [Hellijas, the store’s owner] was able to keep a store open selling vinyl and used books,” singer Maya de Vitry told CMT Edge. “I was impressed that the people of Schenectady frequented his shop often enough to keep his doors open.”
