These days, it seems as if Justin Townes Earle is growing up. The folk singer and former wildman is settled down, and his new album Single Mothers reveals a rawer, more honest side of the man. “One day I realized that it’s not cool to die young, and it’s even less cooler to die after 30,” Earle says. What’s even more surprising is the comfort expressed on the album; after years of intense scrutiny and hard living, Earle finally seems comfortable in his own skin, and his music is all the better for it. Earle has kicked off his fall tour already, and he’s heading to Colorado for a show at the Fox Theatre. For more info and to purchase tickets, visit the Fox Theatre website.
