This has been a big year for Stevie Nicks: she’s prepping the release of her first collection of solo material in years, and she’s still touring with Fleetwood Mac, who have welcomed Christine McVie back into the fold. Lately, Nicks’ influence on music and pop culture is being acknowledged more than ever before, which is why the New York Times Magazine feature on Nicks isn’t surprising. What is surprising, though, is the treat she gave readers: an intimate performance of the Fleetwood Mac classic “Rhiannon” featuring the vocals of pop group Haim (who owe more than a little to Nicks).
