Singer/songwriter Jessie Bridges was recently joined on New York’s City Winery stage by her father, musician/actor Jeff Bridges, who gave her her first guitar at age 13, and exposed her to the music of the ’50s, ’60s and ‘ 70s. According to Jessie, these were the songs and styles that most influenced her as a musician. Jessie said that, for her, “writing songs is about personal expression. It’s a way to pick apart all the knotted up memories, stories, and experiences that have accumulated over time.”
