Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney is a notoriously cantankerous fellow, but even he had to crack a smile when he heard indie-rock duo Tennis for the first time. Why else would he choose to produce them? On Young & Old, the duo found a surprisingly gritty side that they explored even further on their new EP, Small Sound. It’s made them into quite a multi-faceted group, and their considerable talent is laid bare in a live setting.
