Few musicians possess the songwriting credentials of Ellis Paul. The Boston-based songwriter famously has Woody Guthrie tattooed on his arm, but he may as well have Guthrie tattooed on his heart. Paul’s songs evoke that same unmistakably American spirit in every word and chord. Sixteen albums in, his music still sounds as fresh and as exciting as it did on day one, though Paul’s maturity and grace adds a considerable depth to his later songs. This week, Paul’s tour finds him out on the West Coast as he gets set to take the stage at SOhO in Santa Barbara. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the SOhO website.
