It’d be foolish to call Marc Cohn a one-hit wonder, though “Walking In Memphis” is a hell of a song to have as a legacy. Still, there’s a lot more to the Cleveland-born singer/songwriter than one early Nineties hit. Over the years, Cohn’s work has attracted the attention of everyone from David Crosby and Graham Nash to Aimee Mann and Jim Lauderdale. The great Bonnie Raitt calls Cohn “one of the most soulful, talented people I know,” adding that she “marvel[s] at his ability to mesmerize every audience he plays for.” Fans in California’s wine country will be in luck when he plays at the West Coast outpost of City Winery.
