After a successful year last year, the East Coast’s answer to Coachella is back for another year. The Governor’s Ball festival is coming back to New York City for another weekend of summer fun that features The Black Keys, Björk, and Drake as headliners.
The rest of the bill is no slouch either, with My Morning Jacket, Florence + The Machine, Ryan Adams, Lana Del Rey, The Decemberists, Tame Impala, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, St. Vincent, Conor Oberst, The War On Drugs, Future Islands, Sturgill Simpson, Sharon Van Etten, Mayer Hawthorne, J. Roddy Walston & The Business, Benjamin Booker, Moon Taxi, DIIV, and many more all set to perform. People looking for a bit of comedy to go with their music will also be pleased to hear that premier parodist Weird Al Yankovic will also be at the festival.
Governor’s Ball takes place from June 5-7 at Randall’s Island in New York City. Three-day admission and VIP passes go on sale this Friday, January 9th on the festival’s website.
