Austin City Limits rolled on this weekend with an episode featuring two of the biggest stars in the alt-country scene. Frequent tourmates and sometime collaborators Ryan Adams and Jenny Lewis came to the stage in Texas to give some selections from their latest albums, as well as some old favorites. Lewis’ set leaned heavily on songs from her major-label debut The Voyager, as well as the title track from her album Acid Tongue and a few selections from her Rilo Kiley catalogue. Adams, on the other hand, leapt all over the place, performing a song each from his two newest releases (Ryan Adams and the 1984 EP) and filling the rest of the set with songs from his extensive back catalogue. You can watch the full performance below.
Love when these two perform together. Fans of Jenny Lewis should check out Natalie Prass (Jenny Lewis’ former pianist) self-titled album. It’s beautiful and worth the listen: http://pitchfork.com/reviews/tracks/17281-natalie-prass-my-baby-dont-understand-me/
