Nominally a bluegrass group, Yonder Mountain String Band avoid easy classification and pigeonholing by playing by their own set of rules. While they honor the traditions of their past, they incorporate rock, folk, and pop into their sound in a way that creates something brand new. The results have been astounding for them so far, as the Colorado group are rising fast; they’ve even opened for the President Of The United States, which isn’t something a lot of people can say for themselves. This month, their tour has them headed east for a performance at the Vogue in Indianapolis. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.
